The International Committee for Storage, ICOM STORAGE, was established in 2025 as one of the International Committees of the International Council of Museums (ICOM). The committee builds on many years of international collaboration and advocacy dedicated to improving the conditions, management, accessibility, and recognition of museum collections in storage.

ICOM STORAGE promotes collection storage as a core and integral part of the museum mission. Through collaboration, knowledge exchange, research, training, and advocacy, the committee supports museums and museum professionals in developing sustainable, resilient, accessible, and innovative approaches to the care and management of stored collections.

This website provides information about ICOM STORAGE and its activities, including our conferences, training sessions and workshops, as well as resources and opportunities to connect with our international community.

We look forward to working together!
